Who am I?

 

I am an assitant professor at the University of Geneva (more precisely the Observatory of Geneva based in Versoix), working on dynamical, tidal evolution and habitability of extra-solar planet systems.

I am working within the Exoplanet group of the Observatory and within the PlanetS project.

Outreach

 

Part of my work consists in communicating about science and the discovery of exoplanets, a thing that I really enjoy. 

Here are a few things I did to share my passion:  

   -  Sean N. Raymond (check his great blog!) and me have been invited to give a TEDx talk in Octobre 2014, it really was a nice experience!

   -  I also was on french media for the discovery of Kepler-186f, to which I participated.

Qui suis-je ?

Je suis professeure assitante à l'Université de Genève (plus précisément à l'Observatoire de Genève, à Versoix), je m'intéresse à la modélisation des effets de marée et des problématiques d'habitabilité pour les planètes autour des étoiles de faible masse.

Je travaille au sein du groupe Exoplanète de l'Observatoire et au sein du projet PlanetS.

Vulgarisation 

 

Je prends grand plaisir à communiquer sur ma recherche et la recherche d'exoplanètes dans notre Univers.

Voici quelques exemples des choses que j'ai faites pour partager ma passion : 

   -  Suite à la découverte du système TRAPPIST-1, le CEA a fait une vidéo youtube où je présente le système. Je suis suivie de collègues du CEA qui discutent d'aspects intéressants du système: CEA Science 

   -  Nous avons créé un blog sur la découverte de Proxima-b où nous parlons de nos études sur son habitabilité.

   -  Sean Raymond et moi-même avons été invité à faire une conférence TED à La Rochelle en octobre 2014. Ce fut une très belle expérience !

   -  Suite à la découverte de Kepler-186f, à laquelle j'ai participé, j'ai été présente dans les médias français. En particulier, j'ai eu la chance d'être invitée sur le plateau du Grand Journal pour parler de la découverte de Kepler-186f: Kepler au Grand Journal !

   -  Vous faites partie d'un club d'astronomie, vous êtes passionés d'astronomie et vous voulez organiser une conférence sur la découverte des exoplanètes, n'hésitez pas à me contacter ci-dessous !
